The general production process is extrusion, stretching and winding.
The two-step method has two kinds of horizontal bunching stretching and vertical single-stretch drawing. The fiber breaking strength can be up to 7.0 CN/dtex, and the elongation at break can be controlled to about 20%.
One-step fiber production breaks above 7.0 CN/dtex and elongation at break is between 16% and 18%.
The two-step process route firstly produces UDY or POY, and then performs draft forming winding. Due to small investment, low production technology, and quick implementation, there are many small and medium-sized enterprises in the country adopting such a process route, but the route technology is compared. Lagging behind, large area, unstable product quality, high consumption, high production costs, new projects are no longer promoted and adopted.
The one-step process route adopts spinning, drafting, shaping retraction, and one-step winding process. The technology is advanced, the flow is short, and the area is small. The polypropylene industrial yarn produced has high strength and good quality.
