Chemical resistance
Polypropylene split film filament has good tolerance to acid and alkali (except concentrated nitric acid and concentrated caustic soda). The fiber can be immersed in 10% hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide solution for 24 hours, if there is no obvious swelling or strength loss, it is genuine.

Combustion characteristics
Burning odor: polypropylene film filament burning gives off the smell of oil, the flame is yellow and blue, slowly self-extinguishing after the fire; The combustion residue is a hard round light yellow brown particle, which is easily broken by hand. Thermal shrinkage rate: the dry heat shrinkage rate of the cracked film filament at high temperature (such as 132℃) should be less than 8%, if the shrinkage rate is too high, it may be due to the processing temperature is out of control or the raw material molecular weight is insufficient.
