Recently, commissioned by the National Folk Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the "Thinking of Dunhuang · Spring Tour" themed sea Dunhuang clothing show hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts of the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology was held on the first domestic large cruise ship "Aida Modu" for two consecutive trips, adding a strong cultural chapter to the spring cruise.
During the event, 21 performance students from the School of Fashion Communication of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology acted as "Dunhuang emissaries" and showed 60 sets of traditional and modern costumes to Chinese and foreign guests in the form of dynamic runway shows, vividly interpreting the beauty of Dunhuang's millenial culture. The costumes on display integrate the elements of Dunhuang murals with brilliant colors and exquisite patterns, leading guests through time and space to enjoy the bright elegance of Dunhuang culture.
Before the fashion show began, four volunteers dressed in the restored Tang Dynasty costumes, and guests enjoyed the traditional dress craft up close, experiencing the beauty of traditional dress culture in shape, color and pattern; Combined with the on-site interaction, guests can enhance their sense of participation and experience, and immerse them in the unique charm of Dunhuang culture.
The Dunhuang Fashion Show on the Sea shows the active exploration and outstanding achievements of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology in cultural inheritance and innovation.
