On June 10th, at the third "Golden Needle Cup" Chinese Embroidery Skills Exchange Event, Jiangxi summer cloth embroidery stood out among over 40 types of embroidery across the country with its unique charm. The works "River and Mountain Fishing Joy" and "Lotus and Egret" by disabled artisans Gao Yucui and Chen Shulei from the Xiabu Embroidery Skills Master Studio of Yuzhou Embroidery Workshop in Jiangxi Province have respectively won the Best Creative Work Award and the Excellent Work Award, adding another brilliant stroke to Jiangxi's intangible cultural heritage.
Recently, the "Anjing International Embroidery Art Week" of the 9th China Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival was launched in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. As the highlight of the "Art Week", the third "Golden Needle Cup" Chinese Embroidery Skills Exchange Event attracted 95 representative embroidery inheritors from all over the country to compete on the same stage.
The works in this competition involve over 40 types of embroidery such as summer cloth embroidery, Shu embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Hangzhou embroidery. The participants are mainly provincial and municipal representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. The competition is divided into on-site skills display and work evaluation sections. The judges will conduct a comprehensive score based on aspects such as skills, culture, artistic appreciation, creative design, and the beauty and applicability of the works.
